Deadly India train crash killed dozens of people
A deadly train crash killed dozens of people and injured several people after two passenger trains collided in the southern state of India, Andhra Pradesh. The tragic incident happened at Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh.
State authorities launched rescue operations and hundreds of emergency workers appeared at the accident place to facilitate victims. The death number of passengers has risen to 13 and about 50 passengers are injured as a result of a deadly train crash.

The reason behind the tragic train crash
According to officials, three carriages of a passenger train traveling between Visakhapatnam and Palasa derailed around 13:30 GMT. This train stopped on the tracks due to a break in an overhead cable. At this moment, a second incoming passenger train traveling between Visakhapatnam and Rayagada hit into former train from behind.
Initial reports state that the investigation has found that “human error” led to the fatal incident of a train collision. CPRO of East Coast Railway, Biswajit Sahu told the media that a human error became the reason for the train collision when the second train surpassed the signal.
Railway officials have canceled a total of 45 trains due to a tragic train accident. They canceled 11 partial trains and diverted the routes of 26 trains due to the affected track. Railway authorities expect the accidental track will be cleared by evening today.
Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan’s office said that Jagan would visit the accident site today. The minister has also announced financial facilitation for the victims.
India has one of the largest train networks in the world which carries millions of passengers daily. Unfortunately, in the past few months tragic train crashes have happened in India.
A recent train accident comes after the Odisha train tragedy which involved the collision of three trains. This devastating crash killed 292 passengers and injured several thousands in the eastern state of Odisha.
