President Joe Biden ordered to close US-Mexico border for migrants
American President Joe Biden has ordered the close of the US-Mexico border that stops migrants from entering the US temporarily. He signed an executive order that prohibits migrants from requesting asylum at the border between the US and Mexico.
This move from President Biden comes as a drastic election-year action meant to relieve pressure on the immigration system and address the serious concerns of voters.
However, this new order is the strictest border policy signed by Joe Biden. It is similar to former president Donald Trump’s attempt in 2018 to stop massive migration in the US. But, the federal court had stopped Trump’s migration policy implementation.
Regarding a major recent border policy order, Joe Biden stated that he had to take an executive action because Republicans (opponent party) had stopped bipartisan bills that would have put some of the strictest security measures on the border that Congress had thought about in years.
Joe Biden stated it at the White House. A group of legislators and mayors from border towns were also present at White House. He addressed them saying they must face a simple truth. They must first secure the border to protect America as a land that welcomes immigrants.

President Joe Biden also said they continue to work closely with their Mexican neighbors instead of attacking them. He would never call immigrants “poisoning the blood” of the nation as Trump described them. He made a point of differentiating his actions from those of Mr. Donald Trump.
However, President Joe Biden ordered to close the US-Mexico border temporarily due to a long-term crisis. The issue of illegal immigration from Latin America and other nations, such as China, into the United States through Mexico refers to the major Mexico–United States border crisis.
It is a continuous migration crisis in America due to higher security threats and massive economic pressure. It has become the biggest challenge for border states including Texas, California, and Arizona to provide shelter or public services to huge numbers of new people.
