The court did not only deny interim bail, but it also gave his judicial custody till June 19, 2024. However, it also ordered relevant authorities to conduct the necessary medical examination of Arvind. The court will also hold a hearing for Arvind’s request for default bail.

Default bail refers to anticipatory bail, a type of bail granted as a right to an accused in custody after the police fail to complete an investigation and file a charge sheet within the time prescribed by law.

However, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has denied interim bail to Arvind after the Supreme Court granted him a three-week interim release to campaign in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. This release ended on June 1, 2024, since his arrest in March 2024.
