Papua New Guinea PM criticized Biden for cannibalism comments
Papua New Guinea Prime Minister (PM) James Marape criticized US President Joe Biden for his cannibal comments. President Joe Biden seemed to suggest that cannibals (referring to Papua New Guinea nation) ate his uncle’s body during World War II.
It came after Joe Biden claimed in last week’s speech in Pennsylvania that his uncle, Army Air Corps polite, Ambrose J. Finnegan died due to a gunshot in Papua New Guinea (PNG). He explained they never found his uncle’s dead body. This was because there were a lot of cannibals in that part of PNG, for real.
After that, Papua New Guinea PM James criticized Joe Biden saying that his comments may have a slip of the tongue. However, his nation does not deserve to be labeled “cannibals.”
PM James said the PNG region witnessed intense fighting during World War II. The dead remains, planes, shipwrecks, tunnels, and explosives still litter PNG and other Pacific nations.
He remarked World War II was not the result of his people. However, they were unnecessarily dragged into a conflict they did not cause. He said a lot of unanswered questions about World War II still exist in the mountains, oceans, and jungles of PNG.

He also urged President Joe Biden to direct the White House to investigate cleaning up these World War II remains. So, that he finds out the truth about missing servicemen like Ambrose.
Meanwhile, White House spokesperson Andrew Bates said Biden was proud of his uncle’s service in uniform. His uncle lost his life when a military aircraft crashed in the Pacific near PNG.
However, regarding the death of Ambrose, the U.S. military records showed no evidence of aircraft shot down or cannibalism. It reported the aircraft fell into the water off the north coast of PNG for unknown reasons. Three soldiers died in the accident which authorities failed to figure out.
