Morgan Stanley boss went missing among others in Sicily yacht sinking
Investment Banking Company Morgan Stanley boss and executive Jonathan Bloomer and his wife went missing among others in a Sicily yacht sinking. A multinational law firm Clifford Chance’s lawyer, Chris Morvillo also went missing.
Jonathan and Chris are among six reported missing passengers in the aftermath of a luxury yacht drowned in a tornado-hit event on August 19, 2024.
UK Tech billionaire Mike Lynch and his daughter Hannah were previously reported missing following the incident. Salvatore Cocina, head of the civil protection agency in Sicily reported these giant personnel went missing in Sicily yacht sinking.
This update came as it was reported that Mike’s co-defendant Hewlett-Packard in a US trial regarding his software company sale had died in England after being hit by a car.
Mike is co-founder of Autonomy, a software company that earned fame in the UK computer industry. His spokesperson declined to comment on the reported missing of Mike. However, yacht-surviving passengers revealed Mike had planned this trip for his coworkers.
Mike Lynch was once called “Britain’s Bill Gates.” However, he has spent the past ten years in court fighting fraud charges relating to the $11 billion sale of his software company to US computer giant Hewlett-Packard.

The rescue personnel are now actively looking to find the boss of Morgan Stanley among others who went missing. Italian media reported that the search effort had restarted early on August 20, 2024 morning.
However, the tragic incident happened approximately 700 meters (2,300 feet) from the Mediterranean Island’s coast in Sicily. The 22 passengers were on board the 56-meter Bayesian yacht including Americans, Canadians, and Britains.
Emergency services could rescue 15 passengers of them. A one-year-old British little girl was also present among the rescued passengers. However, one onboard passenger died who was a cook. Silicy’s Civil Protection also confirmed his death.
