Wife of Gul Ahmed Energy CEO arrested after she killed 3 people
Police arrested Natasha, wife of Gul Ahmed Energy CEO Danish Iqbal after she killed three people in a fatal car accident on Karsaz Road, Karachi. This sad incident happened when Natasha crashed her SUV car into bikers and pedestrians.
Natasha’s husband Danish Iqbal is a well-renowned businessman who is chairman of Metro Power Group. However, she was riding an SUV when the car lost control due to overspeed and hit a motorcycle, several other cars, and pedestrians before crashing onto the service road.
As a result, two persons who were on a motorcycle died on the spot and a third eventually died in the hospital due to his critical injuries. The deceased were identified as Imran Arif and his daughter Amina.
This incident has sparked uproar among the public as the elite’s irrational driving and irresponsible act which took lives is not the first incident in Pakistan.
One netizen stated killing people in a Land Cruiser is a rewarding job in Pakistan. She emphasized accused Natasha would be free to go home tomorrow without being accountable for her crime.
Rescue personnel arrived at the scene as soon as the accident was reported. They confirmed that two people passed away instantly and four others suffered critical injuries whom rescue personnel rushed to hospital.
According to eyewitnesses, Natasha attempted to run while intoxicated but bystanders caught her. People were angry while taking her into custody when paramilitary forces intervened and rescued her from the mob.
Afterward, Karachi police arrested the wife of Gul Ahmed Energy CEO. They have initiated an inquiry about this accident.
Bahadurabad Police Station SHO Muhammad Naeem confirmed the accused driver Natasha is the wife of Danish Iqbal against whom they are currently taking legal action.
However, police claimed that Natasha was reportedly in a state of mental distress. Moreover, they sent Natasha for a medical examination test to proceed with a legal investigation.
