Malaysia to allow free visa entry to Indian and Chinese nationals
Malaysia is the latest country to allow free visa entry to Indian and Chinese nationals from December 1, 2023. Malaysia has also joined the exciting bandwagon of Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Thailand to offer visa-free entry to Indians.
Indians considering a vacation to Malaysia will no longer need a visa as the country has declared visa-free access for Indian and Chinese people.
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated that this move would take effect on December 1, 2023, for all Indian and Chinese travelers. The Malaysian tourist e-visa now costs 3,799 rupees per person.
Indian visitors can stay for up to 30 days without a visa under the new visa-free policy. However, security screenings for Indian nationals will continue.

The visa-free policy was implemented to enhance the number of visitors from the two nations, India and China. It is a well-established fact that India and China are two of the most important markets in Malaysia.
Malaysia is interested in attracting additional investment from these two countries India and China. Visitors can now enjoy easy travel to Malaysia which is undoubtedly one of the best tourist destinations in Asia.
Sri Lanka and Thailand have extended the visa-free period for Indians till March 31 and May 10 respectively of the next year 2024. For the time being, travelers can make use of this chance to the fullest.
