Arkansas man accused of making bombs & arrested while escape
Arkansas man Lawrence Hickman has been accused of making homemade bombs and arrested during his escape to avoid trial. Police arrested him in Washington state.
The alleged man has six counts of unlawful possession of explosive materials or a destructive device. The man Lawrence was arrested from Bella Vista, Arkansas on Dec 22, 2023, after Bella Vista police accused him of making bombs. He was planning to flee the country to avoid his upcoming trial. He was caught having six active bombs.
According to an arrest affidavit, a lady called the Bella Vista Police Department on Dec 9, 2023, to complain that man Lawrence was harassing her. Officers arrived at the home of Lawrence and met with the woman. The lady claimed she discovered a bottle of chloroform in a dresser drawer.
Moreover, she also allegedly told police she found homemade bombs hidden in a plastic bag in Lawerence’s home on Bishampton Lane. Afterward, police contacted Bentonville Bomb Squad and evacuated neighboring residents from their homes.

Bentonville Bomb Squad X-rayed the explosive devices at the home of Lawrence and found the devices active. According to officers, Lawrence was not at home at that time. The lady said she had no idea where he was.
Afterward, Bella Vista police arrested him with two kayaks in the Pacific Ocean. Police found him with an AR-style rifle, pistol, bolt-action rifle, compound bow, weaponry, bags of black powder, laptop, USB drive, and SD cards.
According to a Bella Vista officer, Lawrence was attempting to exit the country owing to an upcoming trial in Texas.
