Young Spanish cyclist Juan Pujalte died at the age of 18
A young Spanish cyclist, Juan Pujalte, died at the early teenage of 18 due to a catastrophic accident in Cartagena. His team Valverde told about the tragic news of his death.
According to the Valverde Team, the tragic accident occurred near Escombreras, Cartagena, while cyclist Juan was training. The cyclist was severely injured in an accident near Mount Calvary. He died owing to his serious injuries. The Guardia Civil is investigating the cause of this accident.
Valverde wrote on Twitter X that they regret to confirm the death of their teammate Juan Pujalte. Hence, they are broken by grief. The brightness, enthusiasm, and passion for life and riding will stay in their hearts forever. Their thoughts are with the family of Juan, friends, and teammates. Rest in peace, Juan.
The Cycling Federation of the Region of Murcia (FCRM) stated that authorities must report how young Spanish cyclist Juan Pujalte Martinez died by accident. The wonderful cycling community will miss you.
However, Juan was a member of the Murcia Cycling National Team. He won the Spanish Junior Championships in Cartagena. Also, he was a rising talent in Murcian cycling. Jaun has competed for the Valverde Team Ricardo Fuentes in elite and under-23 categories.

Despite his young age, Juan had previously accomplished significant milestones. It includes finishing the Titan Desert challenge at the age of 16. He was born on April 22, 2005. He hailed from San Pedro del Pinatar in the Region of Murcia, southeastern Spain.
Jaun joined the cyclist team Esetec Salazones Ricardo Fuentes in 2023. Later, he joined Valverse Team, Ricardo Fuentes Club in 2024. Another teenage younger 17-years-old American cyclist, Magnus White, died just seven months ago.
Magnus died after being hit by a car on Highway 119 near Gunbarrel in Colorado. He was a member of the United States Junior Men’s National Team.
