Harsha Bhogle praised Aamer Jamal performance at Sydney Test
A renowned Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle praised Aamer Jamal following his performance in the ongoing third Test against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground. After a magnificent fifty in the first innings, Amer has joined an unusual list of best cricketers.
Aamer is one of three Pakistani cricketers who have scored 100 runs and taken 10 wickets in an Australian Test series. Imran Khan and Wasim Akram are two other renowned cricketers on that shortlist.
Harsha stated on Twitter X that he doubts Aamer Jamal will bat at number. 9 for much longer in his career. He admires both his courage and his expertise. This determination is exactly what the fans expected from the team.
Meanwhile, former England cricketer and commentator Michael Vaughan also praised Pakistan’s fighting spirit. He admires Pakistan’s battling spirit once again today. It’s a joy to watch such a good team.
On the first day of the third Test against Australia in Sydney, Pakistan made successfully 313 runs after the brilliant performance of Aamer. Hence, he hit a major fifty down the order to enable Pakistan to achieve a competitive total.
Despite being reduced to 227-9 at one point, Jamal and tailender Mir Hamza contributed 86 runs for the last wicket to push Pakistan above 300. Jamal hit 82 runs off 97 balls, including nine fours and four sixes. Hamza supported Jamal well from the other end, remaining unbeaten on seven runs in 43 balls.
