Samsung Galaxy Smart Ring unveiled for health tracking

Samsung unveiled its first-ever smart wearable Galaxy ring with its unique features and specifications at the MWC 2024 Barcelona conference. The Samsung Galaxy Ring can measure the user’s heart rate, sleep, and night movement.

However, the Galaxy Smart ring can also detect early indicators of sleep snoring. Samsung offers the Galaxy Ring as a companion to the Galaxy Watch. It allows even more accurate health and activity tracking during the day.

In addition to recording your daily activity, sleep habits, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability. It generates a health score that incorporates all of these parameters.

The ring will connect to an enhanced version of Samsung Health (the company’s digital wellness platform). It will include a new “My Vitality Score.” It combines data from sleep, exercise levels, and heart rate variability.

Users can set individual wellness goals and track their progress with Booster Cards available within the Samsung Health app. It provides useful feedback on their journey to better health.

Samsung Galaxy Smart Ring is available in sizes small to extra large. It corresponds to sizes 5-13 in the United States. You may find these sizes labeled on the inside of the rings.

The design of the SmartGalaxyy ring differs from the usual convex appearance seen in the Oura Ring. It features a smooth concave curve that extends towards the center. Users may also choose from a trio of color options, including black, silver, and gold.

Soon, Samsung intends to make the Galaxy Ring compatible with all Android phones. But, for now, users may only connect the Smart ring to Galaxy smartphones. The company also claims to use artificial intelligence (AI) to give more insight and customized experiences. It will extract data from its health platform’s 64 million monthly active users.

However, the company has not yet provided the details regarding price and availability information. These details are expected to be announced soon.
