In a similar incident that occurred in December of last year, nine members of the same family, including a mother and her eight children died. The deaths occurred due to their house’s roof falling owing to a fire sparked by a short circuit in Tahari village, Abbottabad.

Rescue 1122, three ambulances, and villagers worked together to extinguish the fire and rescue the inhabitants. Unfortunately, the wood and clay structure immediately caught fire, which limited rescue efforts.

The authorities identified the dead people as Zakir, his wife, and four sons Hashim, Qasim, Hasan, and Sufyan. Two more women died with these family members. However, one family member survived the deadliest fire by jumping off of the building.
