Ukraine introduced first AI spokesperson for war information against Russia
Ukraine has introduced the first AI spokesperson for providing information on several matters, including the recent war against Russia. The Ukrainian foreign ministry has unveiled this AI spokesperson named Victoria Shi.
Victoria Shi is an AI-generated digital representative for the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She will deliver up-to-date information on diplomatic matters. The MFA of Ukraine has introduced a digital persona in the guise of an AI spokesperson that will formally provide media commentary for the first time in history.
According to Ukrainian media, tech experts designed Victoria Shi after Ukrainian singer and influencer Rosalie Nombre. Rosalie showed consent to take part in the ministry’s project.
The Ukrainian government stated in a press release that Ms. Rosalie Nombre gave her consent for the public sake to use her voice and visual picture for an AI model.
The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine (MFA) also released a video of the virtual spokesperson on Twitter X. It stated MFA’s official website and social media outlets will feature her views.
AI spokesperson Victoria Shi said her last name shows the artificial intelligence that created her in a teaser video. And her name shows their main objective, the victory of Ukraine.
Victoria also said her job would be to report to the public operational and certified information of the diplomatic department of Ukraine MFA.

Moreover, she will notify journalists about news regarding the work of diplomats. She will also defend the rights and interests of Ukrainian citizens abroad. She will also respond to incidents, emergencies, and other news.
The Ukrainian authorities have implemented several measures, including QR codes to guarantee that there is no digital fraud in the system of Victoria Shi. Hence, they made this decision to reduce time and resources.
Foreign Affairs Minsiter Dmytro Kuleba said real diplomats will be more productive. Diplomats will also be able to focus on other duties like helping civilians.
