New South Wales (NSW) Police and AFP as a joint counter-terrorism team (JCTT) have suspected seven teens involved in a religiously-motivated violent extremist ideology.
AFP Deputy Commissioner Krissy Barrett stated they found connections between the accused criminal and a group of friends and colleagues who they think have similar violent extremist beliefs.
Krissy stated that JCTT moved quickly to stop extremists and initiated an investigation into this matter. They want to be very clear and they target extremism, not religion. They did not find any specific target for another violent terror act by suspects.
