Indian man sentenced to 10 years jail term for unnatural sex with a minor boy

Maharashtra court in Thane district sentenced a 28-year-old Indian man to a 10-year jail term with hard labor for having unnatural sex with a minor boy. The convicted man performed this illegal act with a boy in 2016.

This verdict came after the prosecution proved all accusations against the accused man in court. The accused man is a resident of Waghbil city in Thane district.

According to Special Public Prosecutor, Sandhya H. Mhatre, the victim boy attended a Christmas Eve party at his friend’s house. He was walking home alone on December 24, 2016.

The accused caught him in the middle and led him to a tree on the side of the road in the dark. He had inappropriate intercourse with him there.

The victim guy complained of terrible pain in his intimate areas after getting back home. When his parents inquired about the injuries they found in his anus, the victim told them about the incident.

Afterward, his parents registered a case to the police against the accused. Thane police opened an official case under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act and laws regarding unnatural offenses.

They arrested the culprit by matching bloodstain samples on the victim’s clothes with the accused, which the court considered conclusive evidence to find him guilty. Moreover, eight witnesses, including the victim and his mother, testified against him.

Following this, special POCSO court judge DS Deshmukh sentenced a convicted Indian man to a 10-year jail term. He will face rigorous imprisonment with harsh conditions to double his punishment. It also fined INR 10,000 to the accused man and ordered the victim to receive this compensation.

Moreover, it sent this case to the District Legal Services Authority to provide the victim with more compensation. It is significant to note that the identity of the culprit and victim is unknown.
