Deadliest Tornado storms killed 21 people across 4 states of US

The deadliest tornado-producing storms have killed at least 21 people across four states of the US. They created massive destruction in the Southern Plains and Ozark Mountains. These violent thunderstorms have destroyed hundreds of buildings.

Weather experts had already warned of extreme catastrophic weather. The National Weather Service (NWS) stated that parts of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania were under a severe weather alert until May 27, 2024 evening.

NWS issued the most recent high weather alert for parts of central Texas with heavy winds of over 75 miles per hour. It will start in the late afternoon and continue till the evening today.

It was a high alert for more than 30 million people in the northeast because of the tornado storm’s potential hit in several parts of the East Coast. National Weather Service also issued severe thunderstorms alert for many counties in western South Carolina, Atlanta, and other parts of Georgia.

According to state emergency authorities, the deadliest tornado storms killed 21 people, including eight people in Arkansas and seven in Texas. Moreover, four people died in Kentucky and two in Oklahoma. Thousands of Americans are suffering from massive electricity blackouts due to storms.

The violent tornado-producing thunderstorm series began on May 26, 2024, and continues. Meanwhile, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear issued an emergency alert in response to chaotic storms. He stated it was a tough night for them.

Later, he conducted a press conference and revealed severe storms affected nearly the whole state. Storms destroyed more than 100 state highways and roads.

Earlier, seven people died and hundreds of people got injured on May 26, 2024 night when a strong tornado hit communities in North Texas close to the Oklahoma border. Two children of one family, including a two-year-old and a five-year-old, died among them.

Moreover, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed the death of eight people in her state after storms. The dead people were suffering from chronic pulmonary disease. When power outages happened, they lost lives due to a lack of oxygen.

According to Oklahoma Governor John Kevin Stitt, two people died due to violent storms. US President Joe Biden has expressed condolences to governors of all affected four states.
