Famous Indian actress Vidya Balan reacted harshly to nepotism in the Bollywood industry while giving an interview to Indian Express. She appeared with Indian actor Pratik Gandhi in an interview during the first Indian Express Expresso session.
They shared how they overcame rejection and being called jinxed at the beginning in Bollywood. They went through what they called a witch hunt to become successful.
Vidya Balan also talked about the “witch hunt” she experienced in her early Bollywood career. She spent three years suffering from heartbreak.
She said it was heartbreaking to experience such a powerful sense of rejection for her. Her will to keep going in this direction was destroyed. However, she must admit that the fire within her surpasses all other factors.
Meanwhile, the actress Vidya Balan also commented on the controversy over nepotism and reacted harshly to questions about prejudice in Bollywood. She said nepotism or no nepotism, she is here.
Vidya said the film industry does not belong to one person’s father. If it did, all of the famous children would have achieved success. Kisi ki baap ki industry nahi hai, nahi toh har baap ka beta, her baap ki beti successful hote.

On the other hand, Pratik also talked about the difficult path to face after moving from Surat to Mumbai. The television industry straightly refused him. He faced rejection in every audition he gave.
Pratik said the television industry had a slightly different idea of what an actor should do for a TV show. His appearance was ineffective for them. They have a specific body type, skin tone, and appearance in mind.
On the other hand, Pratik also discussed his path to success after receiving praise for his performance in the TV series Scam 92: The Harshad Mehta Story.
