Indian Woman accused Jindal Steel executive of sexually assaulting her
An Indian woman Ananya Chhaochharia accused a senior executive of Jindal Steel, Dinesh Kr. Saraogi of sexually assaulting her during a flight. It happened during a flight on Etihad Airways.
Ananya made these claims on her personal Twitter X account. She co-chairs the India Conference at Harvard. She shared an incident that happened to her on a journey from Kolkata to Abu Dhabi.
The Indian woman Ananya has also caught the attention of Naveen Jindal for her claims that she accused Jindal Steel executive of sexually assaulting her. Naveen is a former member of Parliament and chairman of Jindal Steel.
Naveen responded to Ananya and expressed gratitude for approaching him and speaking up on the incident. He assured her that his team would investigate this matter.
She claimed to be sitting next to an industrialist, referring to him as the CEO of Jindal Steel (an Indian company). She guessed Dinesh must be about 65 years old who told her he was living in Oman these days. But he travels a lot.
According to Ananya, Dinesh had a pretty casual conversation with her about their family, origins, etc. The topic of her hobbies came up in conversation.
When he inquired if she liked to watch movies, she said yes. Then he continued by telling her that he had some movie scenes saved on his phone. Following this, he pulled out his phone and earbuds to show her “PORN.”

Afterward, Dinesh allegedly started touching her body and molesting her sexually. She remarked she was afraid and shocked at this act. She rushed to the washroom and complained to the airline crew.
Ananya remarked fortunately Etihad staff moved quickly and pro-actively. They made her sit in their seating area and gave her tea and fruits.
However, Dinesha constantly contacted them to find out about her whereabouts. Then, the airline crew also informed Abu Dhabi police officers. They were standing by as soon as the airplane’s gates opened.
Ananya said she could not file a complaint against Dinehs as she could have missed her connecting trip to Boston. However, she sincerely thanked the flight attendants and Abu Dhabi police who helped her.
