The next in the queue of Pakistan batsmen was Iftikhar Ahmad. Iftikhar returned back to the pavilion making 4 runs over 4 balls. Then Jasprit Bumrah took the wicket of Muhammad Rizwan at 168 runs. All-rounder Shahdab Khan came after Muhammad Rizwan and gave only 2 runs on the board. Afterward, Muhammad Hassan, Muhammad Nawaz, Haris Rauf, and Shaheen Afridi contributed a score of 22 runs to the score of Pakistan making it 190 runs with all outs.

Second Innings of the match

Indian batsmen Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill have opened the second innings. Sharma and Gill scored a total of 23 runs when Pakistan bowler Shaheen Afridi took the wicket of Gill.

Virat Kohli came after Gill. Rohit and Kohli managed to score 79 till Hassan Ali took the wicket of Kohli. The next came Shreyas Iyer. At an average score of 129, Rohit completed his 53rd ODI fifty. The partnership of Rohit and Iyer reached 156 scores. Both Rohit and Iyer made half-centuries. Babar sent Shaheen Afridi to take the wicket of Rohit and Shaheen succeeded.

KL Rahul came after Rohit, Rahul, and Ilyer played a wonderful fastest inning and secured the Indian team win by scoring 192 runs at 3 wickets. Indian Cricket Team completed the match in just 30 overs.

Bhumra becomes the joint-highest wicket-taker of ODI World Cup 2023 in today’s match. He took 2 wickets for 19 runs in seven overs. He became the man of the match for his astonishing performance.

It is the eighth successive victory of India over Pakistan in ODI World Cups. Today’s Indian performance was truly dominating. Pakistan set a very low score bar for India to chase down which batsmen from a strong Indian batting line chased without fuss.
