Daniil Medvedev beat Andrei Rublev at the final ATP tournament

Russian professional tennis player Daniil Medvedev easily beat Andrei Rublev in the Russian derby of the final ATP tournament. ATP refers to the Association of Tennis Professionals.

The first round program ends today in Turin, Italy with a win of Daniil in the Red Group. In the last match of the first round, Daniil ranks third having 7200 points in the world rankings.

Daniil needed only an hour and a half to defeat Andrei ranks fifth having tennis points of 4805. He has ten aces while Andrei has only served twice which led to his defeat.

In the first match of the “red group”, Germany’s Alexander Zverev defeated Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz who has the 2nd ranking with tennis points 8455.

Earlier in the “green group”, Serbian Novak Djokovic defeated Danish tennis player Holger Rune in a three-set match 7:6 (7:4), 6:7(1:7), 6:3. He secured number one ranking in the ATP tournament by defeating Holger. Novak is the winner of the previous ATP tournament in 2022.

On the other hand, Jannik Sinner of Italy defeated Greek Stefanos Tsitipas in two set-match 6:4, and 6:4. Stefanos will face Holger today while former ATP winner Novak will face Jannik today.

The two top tennis players from each quarter will compete in the semi-finals after the completion of the group stage. The final match will be held on November 19 in Turin, Italy.

The final ATP 2023 tournament has total prize money of $15 million. The single winner may earn $4.8 million rupees as well as 1,500 tennis ranking points. Novak Djokovic won the final ATP competition for the sixth time in his career last year defeating Norwegian tennis player Casper Ruud.
