Philips Hue launched a new smart lighting solution for kitchen

Philips Hue launched a new smart kitchen lighting system to provide a convenient light solution for the under-cabinet kitchen. If you are craving full-color lights to go with your avocado toast in your kitchen, this smart lighting system seems like a pretty delicious fix.

The good thing about this system is it will not have plugs or cables to be seen. The parent company of Philips Hue, Signify announced at the IFA tech conference in Berlin a cooperation with Nobilia.

Nobilia is the biggest kitchen maker in Europe that integrates personalized Philips Hue smart lights into its kitchen furniture. Philips Hue has only sold plug-in light strips that can be controlled by wireless switches so far.

So, if you want to hardwire them into your kitchen, you need a third-party option. Hence, the Philips Hue-Nobilia partnership is a great step forward.

Earlier, Philips Hue users didn’t have an easy way to get their hands on integrated, color-changing smart lighting like this. Other businesses like GE Cync just developed a hardwire smart kitchen lighting system.

Hence, Philips Hue has recently partnered with Nobilia to knock down its competitors. This partnership offers two lighting options for kitchen furniture. It includes color-capable hidden spotlights for kitchen cabinets and linear gradient light bars for shelves.

Linear gradient creates an image of a progressive transition between two or more colors along a straight line. These light options link to the Hue Bridge so they can work with hue lights and other lights in your home.

Because the new lights are built into Nobilia cabinets and connected to your home’s electrical system, this will only work in brand-new kitchens. However, Philips Hue launched a new smart lighting solution but it will take at least a year before reaching the US market.
