Apple Watch silicone band leaked features & other details to know

Watch silicone band unreleased by tech giant Apple has emerged with leaked features and other interesting details. Apple conducts a great deal of experimentation, and one of these attempts is a metal-buckled silicone band for a watch which the company never implemented.

The company has not revealed any details about its interesting silicone watch band. However, a leaker StellaFudge has released these details on Twitter X.

It showed this silicone watch band has a clickable mechanism and an adjustable metal buckle instead of a conventional pin on one part of the band. Stella Fudge reported that a pin bar fastens the buckle to one end.

According to Stella Fudge, the locking mechanism of the silicon watch band has a very nice click and is incredibly easy. It adjusts like a sports band and gives your wrists more support.

Leaker also claimed that Apple created these silicone bands in red and white colors. Moreover, there are rumors that Apple produced some leather watch band versions in Saddle brown, Red, and Ultraviolet colors.

However, the reason behind Apple’s decision to discontinue this watch band is unknown. Stella Fudge believes it may be due to the annoying buckle adjustment for this silicone band. Another reason Apple might have found the construction of this band “difficult.”

I suspect it was canned because adjusting the sizing is annoying, coupled with the more difficult to produce buckle, but that's a personal theory. The tolerances are very tight and getting the wrist adjustment size right is a struggle, though this could be preproduction issues.

Stella Fudge suspected that Apple canceled the plan to launch a silicone band because it is inconvenient to modify the sizing and the buckle is more difficult to create.

It is tough to get the wrist adjustment precisely. This is because figuring out the right size for different wrist sizes is challenging. This might be some problems that Apple faced before this product’s manufacturing.

In the past, several Apple product features have been leaked which the company abandoned to produce at the last minute. A few examples are a darker Apple Watch Ultra with a black ceramic and a gold iPhone X.
