Amazon is planning to introduce ads on Prime Video in 2024, another premium version without ads. Many streaming services have this service and Prime Video will do the same in 2024. The ads-free version will be more expensive than the ads version. It will cost $2.99 more per month on top of other regular subscriptions.
This version will first be introduced in the UK, US, Canada, and Germany and later will be introduced to other countries with different subscription prices.
Other streaming companies like Netflix and Disney did the same in order to earn more profit. Well, this plan is not as successful because many people go with the ad version. Keeping it in mind Netflix has stopped the version of the ad-free in the UK and US. While Disney made the ads-free version subscription more expensive.
Amazon will introduce ads on Prime Video by 2024 while Amazon is still showing ads on Thursdays during live events like NFL’s and Night Football even on the ads-free version.
Amazon says There will be fewer ads as compared to other streaming services. The current Prime membership won’t be more expensive in 2024. As per the reports of the Express Tribune Amazon is the third biggest video streaming service after YouTube and Netflix, so this plan might become successful in 2024.
