Two Pakistanis arrested in Madina, Saudi Arabia for selling drugs
Saudi Arabia authorities have arrested two Pakistanis in its central city, Madina for selling drugs during a raid. The arrest came when law enforcement officials were conducting a widespread crackdown against drug dealers in the Madina region.
The Saudi media said the officials arrested two Pakistanis when they were dealing in methamphetamine. After the arrest, authorities handed over them to the public prosecutor after the completion of the legal process.
Methamphetamine is a strong central nervous system stimulant that is mainly a psychoactive drug for consciousness pleasure.
Saudi authorities have arrested several people throughout Saudi Arabia during operations targeting narcotics dealers and traffickers. The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority have reported they have prevented attempts to smuggle drugs hidden in luggage using multiple ports.
Authorities seized a vehicle entering the Kingdom through Duba Port with 93,750 drug pills hidden in cargos to transport the drugs. Jeddah Islamic Port Customs also discovered 356,559 more drug tablets in another cargo.
However, officials also found 201,600 Captogon pills in a vehicle’s floor compartment at the Al-Haditha port. Captogon is another psychoactive drug used to control hyperactivity, depression, and sleep disorders.
The Customs Authority collaborated with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control to catch the seven suspects to whom the cargo was supposed to be transferred. Two of the suspects were Pakistanis who customs authorities arrested in Madina.
In a separate incident, the General Directorate of Narcotics Control arrested two drug dealers. One of them was from Pakistan while another was from the Philippines. They were trying to sell 2.6 kg of methamphetamine.
However, in another incident, law enforcement officials arrested a Pakistani national in Hafr Al-Batin city for attempting to sell methamphetamine.
