Junaid Safdar, Maryam Nawaz’s son confirms divorce from Ayesha Saif in his Instagram story on Oct 12, 2023. He is the son of the Vice President of PML-N, Maryam Nawaz, and grandson of supremo Nawaz Sharif.
There were speculations going on about his divorce until he confirmed the news of his divorce on his Instagram story. He shared his divorce news is true and it is an entirely private matter and asked people to respect the privacy of the former couple. He wished good luck to his ex-wife, Ayesha Saif.
Since Junaid’s confirmation of his divorce, this news has been trending on Twitter with the hashtags Maryam Nawaz and Junaid Safdar.
Ayesha has remained silent on the matter of her divorce with Junaid. Junaid has also not revealed the reason behind the divorce decision. Some sources claim that Junaid wasn’t willing to marry Ayesha of his accord but agreed following the decision of her elders.

Junaid Safdar belongs to a prominent political and business family. He obtained early education at the prestigious Aitchison College Lahore, Pakistan. He pursued his higher education abroad and completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics at Durham University, England.

Ayesha Saif is the daughter of Saifur Rehman who is the former chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) during the second tenure of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. Rehman is also a multi-millionaire businessman based in Qatar.
Ayesha was born and raised in Qatar where she attended the British primary and secondary schools, passing O and A levels with distinction. She moved to London for higher studies and graduated with a BEng in Civil Engineering.
Junaid and Ayesha tied the knot in August 2021 in London. The wedding ceremony of the couple took place on Aug 22 spanning across Lahore and London. The decision for the ceremony in London was due to the presence of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif who is residing in London.
After three years of marriage, Junaid and Ayesha have decided to separate their ways.
