Father killed five children through poisoned tea in Toba Tek Singh
A man named Asghar who is the father killed his five children by allegedly poisoning their tea due to a domestic fight and they died in Toba Tek Singh. The incident revealed allegations of domestic violence inside the family and sent shockwaves throughout the community.
Asghar allegedly poisoned the tea of his wife with their children. Police have arrested him on suspicion of poisoning his wife and five children. According to police, the victim’s family belonged to Chak No.520 of Toba Tek Singh.
It came after Asghar’s wife Nadia Bibi accused him of poisoning the tea milk to let their children die. The uncle of the dead children received their dead bodies and held their funeral in Gojra. This incident took place yesterday.
According to police officials, financial hardships and a lack of marriage proposals for daughters were contributing factors to the ongoing household’s domestic violence problem.
They claim Asghar and his wife argued about a domestic matter before this incident. After that, Father Asghar mixed poison in tea and killed his five children.
There were initial reports that an angry mother gave poison to her five children and then took herself too. Following the incident, four children passed away while the mother and another daughter were receiving medical attention in hospital. Later, the admitted daughter Aqsa also died after his four siblings.
However, after getting a statement from Nadia Bibi in which she alleged Asghar of poisoning, police arrested him based on suspicion.
Asghar did not confess to poisoning his wife and children. He claimed he had no idea what his wife had eaten while he was away and after they had a fight over domestic matters.
The five siblings who died in Toba Tek Singh include 18-year-old Madeeha, 17-year-old Sania, 10-year-old Iqra, and 7-year-old Hassan. A 16-year-old Aqsa died today after being in critical condition following the tragic deaths of her four siblings.
