Sudan Army vowed to retaliate strongly after RSF’s fatal attack on village
Sudan Army vowed to retaliate strongly after the semi-militarized group RSF (Rapid Support Forces) attack on the Wad al-Noura village in Gezira state killed more than 100 people.
This attack was the largest in a series of dozens of attacks by RSF forces on small villages throughout the farming state since the group took control of the capital, Wad Madani, in December.
Wad Madani Resistance Committee reported the fatal attack details at the hands of RSF. It published photos on social media showing bodies wrapped up for burial. It described it as a “mass grave” and said the Sudan army failed to respond to their appeals for help against RSF.
Following this, the army of Sudan vowed to retaliate strongly towards RSF. Army leader Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan states they have the opportunity to slaughter these people (RSF) as if they were the sacrifice of Eid.
Mini Arko Minawi is a Sudanese Politician and governor of Darfur province. He confirmed the massacre of Wad Noura villagers. He said RSF committed a massacre and destroyed the village.

According to Mini, the death toll exceeds 150 people, including women, children, and older people. He also backlashed the United States for being silent in the face of these crimes committed by countries that are members of its entity.
However, this recent RSF attack happened due to an ongoing power struggle conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). This erupted on April 15, 2023, when RSF moved to several cities in Sudan.
Since then, SAF has resisted keeping RSF away from national territories to keep their hold. However, RSF has launched massive violent attacks to dominate its power. This power war has pushed Sudan into a deep humanitarian crisis and resulted in massive destruction and a death toll.
