Southport knife attack on dance class killed 3 children & injured 8
Three children died and eight sustained injuries as a result of a knife attack during an ongoing dance class at a studio on Hart Street, Southport. Southport is a town in Merseyside, England.
The children were busy dancing to a Taylor Swift-themed song in their rehearsal at the time of the incident. A shocking and tragic incident happened just ten minutes before the end of dance class. A boy stabbed two adults and nine children in an aggressive knife attack.
According to Merseyside police, two adults received injuries while trying to protect the children. However, eight of the injured people including children are in critical condition in the hospital. The three dead children are 6, 7, and 9-year-old little girls.
They have arrested a 17-year-old boy from Lanchasire village of banks on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. However, they did not know his motive for committing this knife attack in Southport.
Police officers revealed the suspect boy hailed from Cardiff but they did not provide his identity. They claimed they arrested him because he was carrying a knife. They did not consider this incident as “terrorism-related.”
However, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper arrived in Southport to pay tribute to dead children and express solidarity with other victims. She laid the flowers near the incident place on Hart Street.
There are media reports that UK PM Keir Starmer will also arrive in Southport to express his support with victims. He has already expressed condolences to the victims. He stated the entire country was in extreme shock at this incident.

Apart from PM Keir Starmer, King Charles also consoled victims in the aftermath of this surprising incident. He called it a “horrific incident.”
Meanwhile, Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton also condemned this incident. They called it a “terrible and dreadful” attack.
US Singer Taylor Swift also expressed her shock about the stabbing incident in Southport. She stated they were just little kids at a dance class. She is at a complete loss to convey condolences to the victim’s families.
