Sheena Bora’s bones finally found in CBI office at Delhi
Sheena Bora’s bones have been finally found in the record room of the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) office in a high-profile murder case. CBI believes the discovered bones belong to Sheena Bora.
Her bones disappeared from the agency’s storehouse in Mumbai. CBI revealed this news during the Sheena Bora murder case hearing on July 10, 2024. It stated they found her remains which remained missing for weeks.
However, the CBI explained those bones would not be included in case evidence. Because they did not mention these bone remains in the charge sheet, so they did not rely on them as evidence.
The agency also wanted to move forward in this case without adding bones to the evidence record. CBI revealed they finally found Sheena Bora’s bones when the special trial court received an email from someone who claimed to be the brother of a forensic expert.
The email stated a forensic expert (of Sheena’s dead body) received crores to fabricate lies that her remains were missing. The accused forensic expert is Dr. Zeba Khan, about whom the email mentioned she bought a home and a clinic in Dubai from massive wealth, which she received to lie about bones.
Meanwhile, the court also showed this email to three defense lawyers, including Ranjit Sangle, Manjula Rao, and Shreyansh Mithare.
The lawyers represent suspects Indrani Mukerjea, Peter Mukerjea, and Sanjeev Khanna respectively. All of these suspects are recently free on bail.
All this controversy started when the CBI revealed to the court the bones of Sheena Bora were no longer traceable on April 24, 2024. After one month, they reported bones went missing from a storeroom in June 2024.
Sheena Bora, is a 24-year-old daughter, of Indian socialite Indrani Mukerjea. Her mother Indrani allegedly murdered her in 2012 for having a relationship with her stepson, Rahul.
Three years after the murder in 2015, this case became public and a center of attraction. There are allegations that Indrani murdered her with the help of her driver Shyamvar Rai, and second-husband Sanjeev Khan. They also burnt her body in the Raigad forest in Maharashtra.
