Nigerian army killed terrorists in Taraba after heavy clash
Troops from the Nigerian Army have killed terrorists in the Bali Local Government area of Taraba state after a heavy clash with extremists. Several troops from Bridage 6 of the Nigerian Army have killed two terrorists in Taraba.
According to the Nigerian Army, they collected weaponry and firearms after the clash. The troops received intelligence information regarding the presence of armed groups in areas of Bali Local Government. Following that, they immediately launched an active combat patrol to pursue terrorists.
They conducted operations in Bali Local Government Areas including Nayinaya, Garin Daniel, and Garbatau. When troops encountered armed terrorist groups, they effectively used their superior firepower.
It resulted in the death of two terrorists and the successful recovery of two AK-47 rifles. They also found four AK-47 magazines and 56 rounds of 7.62 mm special weaponry.
Nigerian Army stated this successful operation shows the dedication and resilience of Brigade 6 to maintain peace and security in Taraba State and the surrounding areas.
It further said the citizens and general public can be guaranteed that the forces of the 6 Brigade will continue to remove all criminal organizations from the state. They will continue their operations until the restoration of peace and security in the general area.
However, the commander of Brigade 6 also requested the public to offer timely information while leading troops for their rapid response. Hence, the forces may cleanse the region of all types of criminal activity.

In a separate operation, Nigerian army troops were sent to counter-insurgency activity in the Northwest when terrorists attempted to kidnap. Troops successfully raided the kidnappers’ shelter in Kuyumbana on Magawa-Migesto Road in Zamfara.
Troops killed two terrorists after a gunfight exchange with the armed group. They found one pump action gun, two live cartridges, and a locally made handgun.
In addition, they found a telephone handset and a chain that terrorists used to strangle kidnapped victims. After that, the army destroyed the camp.
