The Monastery Battle Between Kosovo and Serbia was very serious where an argument escalated between a Serb gunman and a northern Kosovo policeman. This gun battle took place in a village called Banjska at its Serbian Orthodox monastery on Sunday where 4 people lost their lives 3 gunmen and one policeman.

Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, blamed Serbia for helping the armed group. The Serbia President, Aleksander Vucic also passed the blame to the other party that they should take responsible for those deaths. He also defends his statement by mentioning that 3 gunmen who lost their lives were Serbians living in Kosovo.

The Monastery Battle Between Kosovo And Serbia was a tragic moment in Kosovo after a long time. Kosovo declared itself an independent country in 2008 but Serbia with its allies Russia and China did not support the independence of Kosovo.

Kosovo holds immense historical significance for many Serbians, as it is considered the birthplace of their nation. According to a BBC article, people who are living in Kosovo are almost 92% are ethnic Albanians and not Serbs. Only 6% are ethnic Serbs, which also causes a huge difference between the ethnic backgrounds of people in Kosovo.
