Bollywood actor Nana Patekar slaps a fan for taking a selfie with him during the shooting of the film. Nana was filming a scene for the movie “Varanasi” on a tiny, bustling street.
A fan came close to Nana and tried to take a selfie with him. When Nana could be seen giving the fan a smack on his head. Soon, the guards of Nana pushed the fan away. A video of him slapping a fan quickly went viral.
A viral video shows Nana Patekar in a brown blazer and hat shooting for his next film journey on a street leading to Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi City. A boy approaches Nana from behind and begins taking a picture with him.
Nana strikes him on the back of the head as soon as he realizes what the lad is doing. The crew member next to Nana then grabs the youngster by the neck and forces him to leave the set.
Nana has fallen into a new controversy years after being named in the MeToo movement in 2019. This time a new video of him hitting a fan who attempted to snap a selfie with him on the set of his film has gone viral. Many people have taken to social media to criticize the actor for this.
Netizens are furious over the act of Nana and are condemning the incident. One Indian netizen criticized the act of the star calling “shameful act”.
Another wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that you should only smack those for whom you are a hero. If the movies fail, you cry in front of them. He instructed Nana Patekar to behave himself.
However, the film director and producer of the film Varanasi, Anil Sharma has clarified that the viral video of Nana Patekar slapping a fan is a scene from his film. He claims that Nana did not slap anyone.
Before getting into this controversy, Nana Patekar had remained a part of the MeToo movement Indian actress Tanushree Dutta accused him of sexual harassment. She even registered an FIR against Nana. But officials didn’t find the witnesses to verify the claims of the actress against Nana.
The original name of Nana Patekar is Vishwanath Patekar. He is 72 years Indian screenwriter, actor, and filmmaker. He mainly works in Hindi and Marathi cinemas. Nana is also a former Indian Territorial Army officer.
