Iconic radio presenter Ameen Sayani died at the age of 91

Iconic Indian radio presenter Ameen Sayani, the famed voice of the famous program “Binaca Geet Mala,” died at 91. The son of Ameen, Rajil Sayani, has confirmed the news of his father’s death.

Ameen Sayani was a prominent former radio presenter who became famous throughout the Indian subcontinent with his show Binaca Geet Mala.

Ameen Sayani had a heart attack on Feb 20, 2024 night. His family rushed him to the hospital but was unable to be saved. Rajil confirmed the news of his father’s death to Indian Express.

Rajil told Iconic radio presenter Ameen Sayani died of a heart attack at around 7:00 p.m. at the HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai. The doctors attended him at the hospital but could not save him and declared him dead.

The funeral of Ameen Sayani will take place tomorrow Feb 22, 2024. The funeral delay is because his family is waiting for some relatives to reach Mumbai and attend his funeral ceremony. He was born in Mumbai on Dec 21, 1932.
