CID Famous actor known as Freddy original name Dinesh Phadnis dies of multiple organ failure at the age of 57. According to sources, Dinesh breathed his last at 12:08 a.m. on December 5 in Mumbai’s Tunga Hospital.

CID Freddy actor Dinesh Phadnis dies at the age of 57

Dayanand Shetty, his co-star on the show, verified the news. The 57-year-old actor was on a ventilator after suffering from severe liver damage. Hospital authorities removed him from a ventilator last night.

Dayanand who co-starred with Dinesh in the famous program ‘CID’ has been providing updates regarding the actor’s health since then. Dayanand has confirmed the news of the death of Dinesh.

He reported that Dinesh had a lot of complications due to multiple organ failure. The funeral of the late actor Freddy will take place at 10:30 a.m. in Mumbai.

Dinesh Phadnis rose to fame as ‘Fredericks’ in the television series ‘CID.’ Shivaji Satam played ACP Pradyuman in the show, which he worked on for nearly two decades.

CID is one of India’s longest-running television shows, premiered in 1998. Dinesh apart from portraying the role of Freddy in CID, has also written some episodes of CID.

Apart from his role in ‘CID,’ Dinesh Phadnis also briefly appeared in the popular mainstream television show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.’ He also played supporting roles in Bollywood movies like Super 30 and Sarfarosh.
