Heeramandi teaser of Sanjay Leela Bhansali unveiled on Netflix
The first glimpse of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited Netflix series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar teaser has been released. Heeramandi stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, and others in the main parts.
However, the Heeramandi series is planned to be released on Netflix in 2024, but its exact date has not been officially announced. Netflix India shared the teaser Heeramandi teaser on Instagram.
The unveiled first look of Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is majestic, tempting, and dramatic, as one would expect from Sanjay Leela Bhansali films such as Devdas and Bajirao Mastani.
Heeramandi combines his extravagant characteristic touch with stories of love and betrayal in the life of prostitutes in pre-independence India. The series explores the cultural realities of Heeramandi, a dazzling area, via stories of prostitutes and their buyers during the turbulent times of India’s freedom war in the 1940s.
In a recent statement, the filmmakers described the series as a mix of love, betrayal, succession, and politics in the kothas (house of prostitutes). They added that Heeramandi promises Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s signature style of larger-than-life storytelling.

Sanjay told ANI that the Heeramandi series is a significant milestone in his journey as a filmmaker. This is a groundbreaking epic series about prostitutes of Lahore. It is an ambitious, diverse, and comprehensive series.
Therefore, he is nervous and enthusiastic about making this film. He is excited to work with Netflix and offer Heeramandi to viewers worldwide. There are reports that Heeramandi will emerge as one of the biggest web shows that India will ever witness.
