Cillian Murphy won Golden Globe for Best Actor as Oppenheimer

Cillian Murphy has won Best Male Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for ‘Oppenheimer’ at the Golden Globe 2024. He accepted his Golden Globe Award with a lovely touch of affection on his face.

The big names were against Cillian in nominations for Best Male Actor. It includes Bradley Cooper for Maestro, Leonardo DiCaprio for Killers of the Flower Moon, and Colman Domingo for Rustin. As well as Barry Keoghan for Saltburn and Andrew Scott for All of Us Strangers.

However, Cillian Murphy overtook all of them and won the Best Actor Golden Globe Award in Motion Picture “Oppenheimer.” He began his acceptance speech by cracking a joke. He asked the audience if his wife, Yvonne McGuinness, had left a lipstick stain on his nose.

Cillian said first and foremost, do I have lipstick all over my nose? He is just going to leave. The Irish actor thanked director Christopher Nolan and his co-stars Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, and Robert Downey Jr. for putting up with him during Oppenheimer.

He said he knew it was different the first time he walked on a Chris Nolan set. The level of devotion and the fact that actors had no choice but to stand. It made him feel like he was in the hands of a visionary director, a master. Chris Nolan is the director of Oppenheimer.
