Children died in house collapse during heavy rains in Kharan
Children died and injured after the roof collapse of a house due to excessive and violent rains in Kharan district, Balochistan. The ages of the dead children were five, twelve, and sixteen years old.
A rain-hit house collapse has killed three children and injured one child in Kharan. However, the Pakistan Navy has conducted relief and rescue operations for flood-hit areas of Balochistan as the death toll has risen and thousands of people have been displaced.
The Pakistan Navy, FC Balochistan, and other departments are conducting rescue and relief operations in the areas affected by the rains. They have been doing relief operations in the flood-affected areas in coordination with local authorities.
Pakistan Navy is performing relief efforts to deliver food, drinking water, and rations to flood victims. They are also working to drain floodwaters from homes and streets throughout the flood region.
Young Pakistani sailors are working with the civil government to speed up the process of road restoration. They are also ensuring relief activities continue uninterrupted.
Jan Achakzai stated Balochistan interim Chief Minister, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki, was supervising relief and rescue operations in Gwadar. The Balochistan government has sent free medical camps to provide rapid health care to those affected. Twelve thousand people received free medical treatment and medications in these camps.

Meanwhile, the Balochistan government has declared Gwadar a calamity-hit district in response to recent monsoon rainfall. According to Caretaker Balochistan Information Minister, Jan Achakzai, they will use all available resources to help rain-affected residents.
However, workers from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) in collaboration with the National Highway Authority (NHA) are fully active on highways. PDMA and NHA are also active on several points and sites to keep roads open using heavy gear equipment.
Devastating floods have again hit Balochistan following last year’s deadliest and most catastrophic rains. It killed 223 people and injured 329 people in the 2023 floods.
