Bollywood powerful couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh expect their first child after six years of marriage. They tied the knot in 2018.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone announced the pregnancy news on their Instagram account. They said their baby would come into the world in September 2024.

There were speculations in the media news industry that the actress was in her second month of pregnancy. Now the couple has officially confirmed the news.

Speculation began when Deepika supposedly attempted to cover her stomach on the 77th BAFTA red carpet, in London. She attended the awards ceremony in a gorgeous shimmering saree and Sabyasachi Mukherjee handcrafted jewelry.

Bollywood industry colleagues such as Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shreya Ghoshal, Vikrant Massey, and Alia Bhatt congratulated the couple on their wonderful news. Indian-American actress Priyanka commented “Mubarak” in the comment section.

Bollywood actress Alia shared a series of heart emojis. However, Singer Shreya Ghoshal expressed her excitement and happiness for the couple. Meanwhile, Vikrant wrote very very good wishes for both of you.

Deepika revealed her excitement about parenthood in an interview with Vogue Singapore in Jan 2024. She stated she and Ranveer adore children. They look forward to the day when they can start their own family.

She also discusses her background, emphasizing the need to be grounded in the face of celebrity and wealth. She said it is easy to become consumed with celebrity and money in this industry. But nobody treats her like a celebrity at home. She also doesn’t want it to change.

Furthermore, Deepika said first and foremost, she is a daughter and sister. Her family keeps her grounded. Hence, she and Ranveer want to instill the same values in their children. Deepika and Ranveer, are 38 years old. They married in an intimate wedding ceremony at Lake Como, Italy in 2018.
