What is the reason for the long march against the Baloch Genocide?
Thousands of people gathered in Taunsa in an unusual demonstration of solidarity to support the long march. The march began on December 6, 2023. The march is against the enforced disappearances and custodial killings of missing people by security agencies in Balochistan.
Marchers reached Taunsa after overcoming administrative challenges by authorities in Dera Ismail Khan. Families of those who have forcibly disappeared as well as other participants were greeted with flowers. It expressed the support and solidarity of local Baloch communities.
Dr. MahRang Baloch addressing the march emphasized the solidarity of the Baloch people and their struggles. She said their pain is one, they are oppressed belonging to the same land. Balochistan is incomplete without Koh-e-Sulaiman. Dr. MahRang Baloch is a human rights activist from Balochistan.
