IPL 2024 Auction- Mitchell Starc gets record-breaking bid
Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc gets a record-breaking bid with Indian rupees 24.75 crores in the IPL 2024 Auction. It is the highest bid ever in the history of the Indian Premier League.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has paid a significant amount of 24 crores to get his services on board. However, Australian Cricket Team Captain Pat Cummins comes to the second highest bid with 20.50 crore rupees. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has paid this massive amount to get Pat.
However, the third-highest bid goes to all-rounder Daryl Mitchell from New Zealand with the highest price of fourteen crore rupees in the IPL 2024 Auction. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has taken Kiwi Daryl.
Punjab Kings have paid a record of 11.75 crores for Indian pacer Harshai Patel in the ongoing Indian Premier League auction in Dubai. The Indian speedster started at 2 crore rupees but ended with 11 crores.
Although Harshai played T-20 for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) during the IPL 2023 season. He has played 92 matches and taken 11 wickets in his IPL career. He becomes the highest-bidding Indian player to become part of IPL 2024.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians (MI) paid 5 crores for South African pacer Gerald Coetzee. He was initially auctioned at 2 crore rupees. Gerald is 22 years old youngest player who has a fantastic ODI World Cup 2023 tournament. He took six wickets in four Twenty internationals. He played his final 20-over match against India in 2023.
The total amount spendable for the 10 IPL franchises is 262.95 crores. Thus, each side will utilize their share to build what they feel to be the finest squad. The Gujrat Titans have the most financial resources with a budget of 38.15 crores to cover eight seats.
Sunrisers Hyderabad is close behind with 34 crore for six places. But the Kolkata Knight Riders are the second-highest bidder with 32.7 crore for 12 places.
