DGIP suspends issuance of 100-page passport
The Directorate General of Immigration & Passports (DGIP) suspends temporarily the issuance of a 100-page passport. The Passport Office has apologized for causing such inconvenience.
According to an official press release of DGIP, It has suspended issuing the hundred-page passport on a temporary basis. It stated that it is informed to the general public that due to some unavoidable reasons, the issuance of a 100-page passport is temporarily suspended.
Therefore, to avoid any inconvenience, please submit only a 36-page or 72-page passport. The Passport Department apologizes for this temporary inconvenience.

Here are the updated fee details for 36-page and 72-page passports:
- For a standard 36-page passport valid for 5 years, the cost is set at 3000 rupees while an urgent passport option is available at 5000 rupees.
- A 72-page passport for regular processing will cost 5500 rupees for 5 years while the urgent service fee for this has a price of 9000 rupees.
- If you opt for a 36-page passport with a 10-year validity, the normal fee is 4500. The urgent fee for this passport type is 7500 rupees.
- Additionally, a 72-page passport with a 10-year validity will charge a standard fee of Rs. 8250 while an urgent processing fee of Rs. 13,500.
The decision of the Directorate General of Immigration & Passports (DGIP) to suspend the issuance of a 100-page passport is temporary. Soon, passport official authorities will inform you about the renewal issuance of a 100-page passport. Until then, travelers are advised to submit applications for either a 36-page passport or a 72-page passport.
