Jenni Hermoso receives threats over World Cup kiss scandal
Spanish footballer Jenni Hermoso receives threats amid Luis Rubiales over alleged kiss scandal during the World Cup trophy presentation. Luis was president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) at that time.
The kiss controversy happened at the Fifa Women’s World Cup game in August when President Luis kissed Jenni to celebrate the win of Spain against England. Jenni claims the kiss was not consensual. And she filed a legal complaint against Luis.
Recently, she claims that she has received threats and it is something she never gets used to. She revealed it while giving an interview to GQ Magazine Spain. Jennie said these weeks have been very difficult for her. She had to assume the consequences of an act that she did not provoke, that she had not chosen, or planned.
The incident between Jenni and Luis provoked outrage and Luis had to resign as president of the Spanish Football Federation. When Jenni filed a legal complaint against Luis, he was banned from approaching Jenni within 200 meters.

Jenni also further revealed in an interview that she is still working on the incident with the help of her psychologist with whom she has been with for many years.
Jenni added mental health is as important to her as daily training and the amount of sleep she needs to be able to play on the field. She has not lost her zeal. She is not broken or thinking about quitting football.
The former federation president Luis denied sexual abuse and forcing Jenni into Madrid court. While International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has banned him from all football-related activities for three years.
