Belgium vs Sweden 2023 abandoned after Brussels shooting
The Belgium vs Sweden 2023 football match was abandoned at half-time for security reasons after the Brussels shooting killed two Swedish nationalists.

Belgian authorities ordered football fans and players to stay in the King Baudoin Stadium for their safety. As police had not captured the gunman involved in the Brussels shooting at that time. Authorities allowed people to leave the stadium at 22:45 BST.
Belgian police escorted the Swedish Football Team to the airport and accompanied Sweden fans into the city. The shooting incident happened at around 18:00 BST on Boulevard d’Ypres. After the incident, Police and emergency services sealed off nearby roads.
The football match of Belgium vs Sweden in 2023 was 1-1 when authorities decided to abandon the match. Sweden captain Victor Lindelof said Belgium has already qualified and Sweden doesn’t have the opportunity to get to the European Championship. So, he sees no reason to replay the game.
