American infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci denied allegations of covering up Covid origins during his tense hearing before Congress. It was his first public appearance since resigning from his White House position in 2022.

Republican lawmakers categorically interrogated him with tough and harsh questions during his hearing. Republicans on the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19) have been interrogating him for his involvement in the pandemic response for over a year.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has been facing allegations of hiding information about the origin of COVID-19. However, he described these claims as “simply absurd” during his testimony.

The origin of COVID-19 has become an extensively debatable topic in the United States since its initiation in 2019. The now-retired Dr. Anthony faced praise and criticism for his role in the COVID-19 response in America.

He has been the subject of extreme controversy for his alleged involvement in covering up the origin of COVID-19. After a long period of ongoing speculations and allegations against him, Dr. Anthony Fauci categorically denied allegations of covering up details regarding the virus’s origin in front of senators.

He also said COVID-19 might have come from a Chinese laboratory in Wuhan. He also read an email sent to one of his colleagues in February 2020 during his testimony. His colleague became also worried about the origin of COVID-19 in their country.

Hence, Dr. Anthony encouraged his colleague in the email to investigate a virus leak from a Chinese lab to the US. He also urged him to gather evidence as soon as possible. And then to report it to relevant authorities about what they found if they were right to become worried.

He said it is impossible that anyone who reads this email could conclude that he was trying to cover up the possibility of a laboratory leak.
