Fish rain in Iran: Video of fish falling from sky goes viral

An unusual video showing fish rain in the Yasuj district of Iran went viral and surprised netizens worldwide. The viral video showed multiple live fish falling from the sky while it was raining, leaving many people in disbelief.

This uncommon event is known as the raining fish that flooded a street in the Yasuj with live fish. People’s reactions to this surprising event were so varied that the video went viral and stormed the internet.

The viral video starts with multiple fish falling from the sky while traffic flow continues to move on the same road. Meanwhile, a man who recorded this video appeared, picking up a few fish to show them to the shooting camera.

However, scientists believe the fish rain in Iran was due to the natural phenomenon of tornadoes. According to them, Tornadoes pushed the fish out of the water or river and threw them into the sky. Later, they fell on the ground, giving the impression of raining fish.

Tornadoes are violent, rotating air columns extending from thunderstorms to the ground. They can cause devastating damage, with winds reaching over 300 miles per hour.

On the other hand, some claimed that birds that hunt fish became nervous when the weather changed near their home, and the fish they carried fell to the ground.

However, this phenomenon of fish raining in Iran is not unique. Several such occurrences have happened in Australia, Mexico, and Malta. The residents of an Australian village became confused when fish began to fall out of the sky in February 2023.

The strange weather incident occurred during intense rain and storms in Lajamanu. It is a small village in the arid Northern Territory of Darwin.

In a separate strange weather event, small fish fell from the sky during a light rain in the coastal Mexican city of Tampico in September 2017.
