Former Pakistani superstar cricketer Shahid Afridi responds as a selfie with pro-Israel group members goes viral on social media. His response comes after falling into controversy with the post of an Instagram account supporting Israel claiming Afridi attended an event called “NW Friends of Israel” in the UK.
The account mentioned Shahid Afridi in its post and wrote he took a picture with their camera. He also agreed to pose with them for a selfie. It also posted a selfie with Shahid to ” endorse the UK event.
The pro-Israel group also paid gratitude to Shahid Afridi for attending the event. It uploaded a selfie of Shahid with event’s co-chair Raohi Bloom and deputy Chair Bernie Yaffe.
As soon as this post emerged on social media, it went viral and people started backlashing Shahih Afridi for endorsing a UK-based Israeli event. They also strongly criticized him for allegedly supporting the genociders of Palestinians.
Hence, Shahid Afridi responds as his selfie with pro-Israel group members is receiving severe criticism. He tweeted a few hours after the pro-Israel group’s post appeared on social media.

He stated suppose you are walking down a street in Manchester, UK and several people you call fans come up to you to take a selfie. When you follow it, they upload it as if it were a Zionist endorsement.
Shahid Afridi also expressed disappointment at this incident and emphasized to his fans not to believe everything published. He also highlighted the recent humanitarian crisis in Palestine in the aftermath of Israeli military operations.
He also said he does not endorse any scenario in which human lives are at stake. It is painful to witness the suffering of innocent people in Palestine. Any image or affiliation posted in Manchester does not represent his endorsement of any circumstance that puts human lives at stake.
