Matt Henry amid injury out of ICC World Cup 2023
New Zealand experienced pacer, Matt Henry, amid injury is out of the ongoing ICC Men’s World Cup 2023. He got a severe injury during the match against South Africa on November 1, 2023.
New Zealand Cricket has confirmed that Matt Henry is out of the Cricket World Cup 2023. It also said that Matt would be replaced with another New Zealand cricket player.
New Zealand has to play the remaining two matches against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. So, New Zealand Cricket has decided to replace the injured Matt Henry with Kyle Jamieson. Kyle is a right-arm pace bowler.

Kyle was traveling to his homeland when the New Zealand Cricket team called him again to join the team due to Matt’s injury. Kyle is back and will be available for the Black Caps’ game against Pakistan tomorrow in Bengaluru.
During the last match New Zealand vs South Africa 2023, pace bowler Matt bowled 5.3 overs against rival team South Africa before leaving the match due to a hamstring injury. He went through hamstring scans to identify the extent of his injury.
Matt grabbed 11 wickets in the seven matches of the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 tournament. Now he joins the expanding list of injured Kiwis players. Likewise, Kane Williamson is suffering from a thumb injury and Mark Chapman has a calf injury.
It is doubtful whether Kane and Mark will contribute to the match against Pakistan or not. Lockie Ferguson will hopefully participate in the upcoming match as he is continuing to recover from his Achilles injury. The New Zealand vs Pakistan match is going to be held tomorrow at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
