Kamran Akmal asked PCB to take action after Naseem Shah’s unity remarks
Ex-cricketer Kamran Akmal asked PCB to take action over the unity of the Pakistan Cricket Team after Naseem Shah’s remarks ahead of the Bangladesh series. He expressed concern after Naseem Shah pinpointed a lack of unity among the team and recent setbacks, particularly at the 2024 T20 World Cup 2024.
Naseem remarked in an interview, that it is a fact, that they did not play very well and their comeback was not very impressive. It comes with criticism which they have to put up with till things get better.
He said they have a great opportunity to recover, perform better, and perform as a team. He remarked on it before the first practice match versus Bangladesh.
Following this, Kamran responded to his remarks by asking whether the Pakistan Cricket Team had ever been united. He found it a little concerning what Naseem Shah said in the press that they must play as a team.
He questioned what does that mean? The team used to play together, didn’t they? When there are such things within the team, such things are said in the media. So, let’s see.
Afterward, Kamran Akmal asked PCB to take action after Naseem Shah’s unity remarks. He said PCB and team management should stop what Naseem said in the media or what he heard.

He also said the upcoming series between Pakistan and Bangladesh presents a huge opportunity for the national team to make the most of it. Pakistan’s team needs cricketers who can take cricket to the next level.
Kamran said may God forbid that none of these things occur (referring to unity concern). The team only needs players who can take cricket to an advanced level right now. The players who can win with good intentions and play good cricket.
Moreover, he emphasized that Pakistan has a great chance in the Test series against Bangladesh. Like they did when they toured Bangladesh and won by 2-0. The series will begin on August 21, 2024.
