Jack Draper won his first grand slam at US Open quarterfinals

British tennis player Jack Draper won his first grand slam at the US Open quarterfinals by defeating Alex de Minaur. He performed incredibly well and knocked out tenth-ranked Australian tennis player Alex.

Jack is only 22 years old but sustained his focus. He remained calm under great pressure to secure his first grand slam title at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Jack, the 25th seed, has not lost a set in his five matches in New York. He has also given up just 36 games. It is the sixth fewest games lost in the last 40 years on his way to the US Open semifinals.

He has become the first British player to reach the US Open semifinals in the first grand slam event since Andy Murray’s retirement at the Olympics in 2012. Andy is a friend and idol of Jack.

Jack Draper won his first grand slam title by defeating Alex de Minaur by 6-3,7-5, and 6-2. For the first time in his career, he will now enter the world’s top 20 with this great win.

It is an honor that only nine British players have ever accomplished in the history of ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals Tour. Daniil Medvedev, the fifth seed and 2021 champion, or Jack’s good friend, the top seed, will be his opponent in the semifinals of the US Open.

After securing the win, Jack stated this was not an overnight thing for him. He has believed for a long time that he has been putting in work and doing the right things. He knew his time would come.

However, he did not know when it would be, but hopefully, he can do plenty of incredible things from this point. He also expressed pride in himself for his achievement.
