Uzma Bukhari urges PM to close FIA cybercrime over her fake leaked video

PML-N leader Uzma Bukhari urges PM, Shehbaz Sharif, to close the FIA cybercrime wing after her fake kissing video with a man leaked. Uzma is also the Provincial Minister of Punjab for Information and Culture.

She backlashed FIA cybercrime for its incompetence in finding culprits behind leaking her alleged fake video. She also strongly criticized the media for associating her with a fake inappropriate video clip.

Uzma also called the cybercrime wing of FIA a “white elephant.” She said the cybercrime wing misuses public funds without offering any real benefits to the people. Her fierce remarks came in a media discussion with reporters at the Lahore High Court (LHC) where she fought her case involving a fake video.

She backlashed the cybercrime unit for being ineffective and lacking in experience in tracing cyberbullies and digital criminals. She also expressed shock and asked whether it was her duty to alert the FIA officers who questioned her about X handlers who leaked her fake video.

Uzma emphasized the apparent ignorance of cybercrime officers about why VPNs are used in Pakistan or if this is common in other countries, showing they did not know much about technology.

Following this, Uzma Bukhari urges PM Shehbaz Sharif to shut down the cybercrime wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

Meanwhile, she also criticized mainstream Pakistani media for linking her to the fake video clip. She asked how anyone could confirm that she was in the clip.

However, LHC Chief Justice Aalia Neelum asked relevant parties to submit a report on August 29. She heard Azma’s petition against PTI activist Falak Javed and others for allegedly spreading the fake video.

FIA representatives revealed to CJ Aalia that they arrested one suspect Shafique from Gujrat. CJ Aalia emphasized the necessity of arresting the person who first published the video. She also urged FIA officers to monitor the dangerous content on social media.
